Creatives have been categorized by many as bonkers, chaotic, disruptive and troublemakers — yours truly included. But isn’t that what it takes to embrace a mindset that leads to success? If thinking in innovative ways was a mindset embraced by the masses, then wouldn’t everyone be able to achieve it?
Being innovative makes you an asset because not only can you help to accelerate profit, but you offer ideas and products that are unique to you and the brand that you work with. Innovation allows you to stand out among the masses, especially in an age when originality is so hard to come by.

Innovators see the world differently and allow themselves to find possibility in everything that they discover, tackle, and approach. This requires an ability to find value where others don’t.

Today he is sending thousands of invoices a day. Where others can’s see vision, this is your opportunity to really shine and grow your business online.
They Like to be Alone
Innovators tend to be misunderstood in many ways, and may find themselves spending a lot of time alone because they think differently. Drew Hendricks from Infographics says there are 3 things they do “this case we are referring to an innovator’s need for time alone simply spent doing what they do best:
- Imagining
- Creating
- Brainstorming
Innovators tend to have a strong work ethic, which means they spend a lot of time working. Consumed by their work, they spend time focusing on their projects in order to ensure success.”
The ‘Norm’ Does Not Appeal to Them
Attempting monotonous work usually ends in boredom and lack of interest because they lose the challenge and excitement that comes from creating, and thinking outside of the box, which may not be accepted in a ‘normal’ job.
Most people want to be considered innovators; after all, it is a term usually associated with the best of the best. It is a mindset, however, one that goes hand in hand with the entrepreneurial spirit.
It is a challenging and at times, a lonely path to take, but partaking in some of the qualities that these innovators possess, will get you that much closer to discovering your own creative spirit.
